Control of embedded diagnostic network for motor vehicles

The embedded communication network limits the minimal signal level at the level of each bus node (N), and compares (COMPi) the level of the signal present at the output (Si) of each module with the level of the signal delivered by the limiter. There are three different voltage levels indicating a 'low' state and three different voltage levels indicating a 'high' state. The limiter circuit has a comparator (K) connected in a switching circuit that delivers a high voltage or a controlled low voltage. The voltage from the limiter is connected through diodes (Di) to the base circuit of a transistor (Ti) in each of the comparator circuits. Each of the comparator circuits responds to a different voltage level from the modules. Decoding the comparator outputs (Vi) allow identification of the source of the signal.
