PURPOSE:To manufacture a nickel hydroxide for nickel electrodes easily manufacturable and excellent in discharge property and charge-discharge cycle life. CONSTITUTION:In a nickel hydroxide producing method, a reaction of a nickel salt and an alkali is carried out by mixing the nickel salt and the alkali in the presence of water at the ratio; 20 mole or less water to 1 mole of the nickel salt; and then unnecessary salts produced as byproducts are removed.
