PURPOSE:To rapidly discharge excessive storage charge of a driving transistor of a laser diode by current-driving a laser diode by pulse-driving a base of a first transistor by a pulse voltage input to an input terminal. CONSTITUTION:One end of a laser diode 1 is connected to a power supply and the other end thereof is connected to a collector of a transistor 3 through a resistor 2, and emitter grounding is carried out. A base of the transistor 3 is connected to the emitter of a transistor 7 through the emitter of a transistor 4 and through a capacitor 5. An input terminal 10 is connected to a base of the transistors 4, 7, respectively. According to this constitution, the transistor 3 is driven at a low impedance of the transistor 4 during turn-on and is reversely biased at a low impedance of the capacitor 5 and the transistor 7 during turn-off, thus becoming equal to a driving current of a laser diode. A rapid driving circuit is thereby realized. |
