PURPOSE:To provide a document processing method and device for eliminating an adverse influence by an automatically registered word in normal conversion, performing automatic registration for reflecting the intention of an operator further, improving conversion efficiency and accelerating a conversion speed. CONSTITUTION:An input character string is analyzed and KANA (Japanese syllabary)/KANJI (Chinese character) conversion is performed based on a dictionary provided with the information of the words (S21). When the word is the one whose notation is not present in the dictionary and the character kind of the notation of an adjacent clause is the same, the adjacent clause is connected (S25 and S26) and the notation for which a clause connection processing is performed is registered in the dictionary by the read of input (S27). Further, in the case of repeating the connection of the clause until the connection of the clause in the input character string becomes impossible, the connection of the clause is stopped when a section specifying position is present between the clauses (S36). |
