PURPOSE: To provide an image forming device where the burning of the image forming electrodes and the excessive restriction of processing speed are avoided. CONSTITUTION: The image forming device is constituted of a movable image recording element 1. The image recording element 1 has a support body 10 having a dielectric surface layer 7, a group of image forming electrodes 5 which are under the support body, which separately supply power and are mutually insulated, an image forming zone which exists along the track of the image recording element 1 in which the cooperative electrodes are installed ant the dielectric surface of the image recording element 1 at short intervals and a control means for applying voltage between the image forming electrodes 5 and a cooperative electrode in accordance with an image pattern for depositing toner powder in the image forming zone on the surface of the image recording element in accordance with a recording image pattern. The image forming electrodes 5 are constituted of the electric conductive materials having the resistance factor of the range of 0.008-0.2Ωcm.
