CHIP RESISTOR FITTING METHOD AND DEVICE

PURPOSE:To provide a method and device for fitting a chip resistor which can speedily fit the chip resistor. CONSTITUTION:A chip resistor 10 supplied from a part supply device 1 is sucked by a suction-type nozzle 4 and is fitted onto a circuit board 5 and then is laid out on an auxiliary X-Y table 11. Then, one part of the chip resistor 10 mounted on the circuit board 5 is baked by laser light emitted from a laser head and is trimmed to a specific resistance, thus reducing the number of types of chip resistor 10 at the side of the parts supply device 1 to one type and the number of parts supply device 1 to one and hence eliminating the need for a process for conventionally selecting and positioning a parts supply device when mounting the chip resistor 10 with different resistance and reducing mounting time.
