PURPOSE:To prevent the illegal use of the portable data carrier extracted in the process of a session by confirming termination information showing whether the session is normally terminated or not. CONSTITUTION:When the data access to a portable data carrier (security card) 1 is normally terminated by the inactivated or activated instruction by a legally authorized person, a host terminal 2 rites data of 'termination' in a termination information storage means 3. When the portable data carrier 1 is inserted in the host terminal 2 again, the host terminal 2 allows the data access to the portable data carrier 1 because the termination information storage means 3 becomes 'termination'. When the portable data carrier 1 is illegally extracted before the data access is normally terminated, termination information remains 'untermination state'. Therefore, when the portable data carrier 1 is inserted into the host terminal 2 again, the host terminal 2 inhibits all the data accesses to the portable data carrier 1 and the use of the portable data carrier 1 becomes impossible. |
