PURPOSE:To provide an image forming device and the method therefor capable of normally performing the transfer when repeating the transfer of the toner image. CONSTITUTION:The image forming device is provided with a photoreceptor 11, an electrifying device 12, an exposure device and a developing devices 19 to 21 for forming the toner image by developing the electrostatic latent image. The destaticizer is placed on the down stream side from the developing devices 19 to 21 and the photoreceptor 11 is destaticized by the destaticizer (light 36). The intermediate transfer body 25 is disposed on the down stream side from the destaticizer and the toner image formed by the respective developing device 19 to 21 is repeatedly transferred. At this time, the electrification by the electrifying device 12, the exposure by the exposure device, the developing by the developing devices 19 to 21 and the destaticization by the destaticizer are repeatedly performed, too. Moreover, the device is provided with the transfer device by which the toner images transferred to the intermediate transfer body 25 are transferred to the transfer material 28 altogether. As the photoreceptor 11 is destaticized before the start of the transfer process, the surface potential of the photoreceptor 11 is made uniform. |
