The tracked or fixed permanent magnet suspension system has the magnets fixed on the levitated body so that a self-regulating carrying force is created with very low transverse forces and torques. The stabilisation of the levitated body against transverse displacements and rotations is undertaken by an electromagnetic closed-loop control system. The picture shows the levitated body (1), a distance sensor (2), the magnets (3), the position control coils (4), flux-conducting pieces (5), the soft magnet support system (6) and the non-magnetic stator (7). |
