The template has a lift mechanism for setting the height of a first frame (1) holding an interchangeable seat section (11) for determining the seat height. This frame (1) can swivel about a first horizontal axis to adjust the incline in order to determine same. A second frame (2) for an interchangeable backrest section (12) swivels about a second axis parallel to the first to set the backrest incline. The two frames are displaceable relative to each other perpendicular to the swivel axes in order to determine the seat depth. The template can have scales (10) at suitable points for reading off the parameters. A vertically adjustable headrest frame can be fitted to the second frame.
