Monopulse target following radar arrangement

An electronic counter counter measure or ECCM arrangement in the radar system involves transmitting radar pulses via a linear polarisation antenna and receiving them as natural radar echo signals via a common transmitter/receiver path with hollow conductors and a transmission/reception switch (1). The ECCM protects against sources of cross-polarised electromagnetic fields. The receiver side of the switch is connected to the first connection (9) of a matching circuit (6). A second auxiliary antenna (2) has polarisation orthogonal to that of the first antenna and is directed via a 90 deg. hollow conductor twist (8), which rotates the polarisation to be parallel, but not anti-parallel, to that of the first antenna, and which is connected to a second connection (10) of the matching circuit. The latter produces the vector sum of its input signals at an output connection (11), which is connected to the high frequency input of the receiver (5).
