<p>An electroviscous fluid comprising an electrical insulation fluid and minute silica particles having surfaces modified with an alcohol-modified silicone oil, and further containing, if necessary, a polarization accelerator. The use of the above-specified silica particles serves to provide an electroviscous fluid having a low initial viscosity, a high thickening ratio, and an excellent dispersion stability.</p> |
