The method is for the central fitting of a lens, rotation symmetrically around a rotary axis, whose periphery has a specific axial extent, in a corresp. frame, pref. of metal, by use of heat-hardening glue. The frame (6, 7) is positioned with its rotary axis (2) vertical, and the glue in the form of a film (8) is applied continuously around the lens periphery (3), after which the lens with the glue is placed with its rotary axis vertical at the frame upper inlet. Heat is then applied so that the glue viscosity is reduced and the lens under the effect of a force such as that of gravity is made to adopt a central position in the frame, with the glue filling out the intermediate space between the lens periphery and the frame, after which the glue is heat-hardened. |
