Ski brake

The brake mechanism, especially for a ski, has a damper (45) between the brake lever (10) and the limit stop (44) to define the adjustment movement, or in the transfer path between the spring and the brake lever (10). The damper (45) has a min. support or retention force which is greater than the max. holding or setting force applied by the spring on the brake lever (10). The foot plate (14) is of an elastic unsprung material, especially of plastics such as polyethylene, polyamide, and especially POM.
