Flat printing process

The printing process involves using a printing form supported by an electrically guiding rubber elastic polymer carrier covered galvanically by a metal layer on top of which another metal layer is added. As is normal in offset printing, one of the metals is hydrophilic and the other hydrophobic. The print picture is then created by photo-lithography and etched. The thicknesses of the metal layers are such that they can follow the volumetric compression of the carrier without being separated from it.
