Holder for coin or token

The holder for a coin or chip as a token, as a pledge for use with a supermarket trolley, has a closed ring (R) for the holder (A). The holder (A) is open on both sides of an inserted coin or token. A limit (U1) is at one section of the ring circumference to prevent an inserted coin from sliding to both sides, and at least one ratchet retainer (T) is at the diametrically opposite section (U2) of the ring circumference . The limit structure at the first section allows the coin to be tilted, and the ring is pliable in the diagonal direction of the retainer. Pref. the holder is an injection moulded plastics component, esp. of polystyrene or a plastics recycling material.
