Release mechanism for repeater rifle

The mechanism has a spring-loaded striker pin which is held by a catch stop (48). A trigger safety is moveable into a release position in which the catch stop is moved in the barrel direction under tensioning of the striker pin spring. In the release position, a kinematic chain is in place between the trigger and the catch stop for release of the striker pin via the catch stop on trigger actuation. In the safety position, the catch stop is engaged by the prestressed safety pin spring and arrested by a fixed stop (58, 64), from which it is released on safety release and final tensioning of the striker pin spring.
