摘要 The mechanism comprises heads (4,5), of two rows of cylinders arranged in V-shape, which contain the outlet camshafts (6,7) at the outer side and the inlet camshafts (8,9) at the inner side. chain wheels (10,11) on the outlet camshaft are driven by a chain (14) itself driven by a chain wheel (13) on the crankshaft (12). Another chain (19) drives the inlet camshafts driven by a chain wheel (18) on one of the outlet camshafts. The two inlet camshafts have opposite direction of rotation. The diameter of the chain wheels on the inlet camshaft is equal to that of the driving chain wheel (18) on the outlet camshaft. The driving camshaft has a mechanism mounted that allows to adjust the angle between the rotational position of the inlet and outlet camshafts. The mechanism consists of a chain wheel (11), driven by the chain from the crankshaft, that is fixed to the camshaft (7) and another chain wheel (18), driving the chain to the inlet camshaft, pivoted on the camshaft. The driven chain wheel has an inner splined wheel (22) and the driving chain wheel has an outer helical gearing (23). In between those two geared wheels slides a geared clutching sleeve (24) that is held in position by a spring (28). If the clutch is slid against the force of the spring the driving wheel can be pivoted on the camshaft, otherwise it is held in an angular position by the clutch.
