Stacking device for folding seats

The stacking device has side frames (20,30) each attached by a horizontal axis (X,Y) to the base frame (10), so that they can be folded down to a horizontal position on the base frame. The base frame has a vertical shaped strip (11-14) at each corner to take the bearings (11X-14Y) for the axes. The bearings (11X,12X) of one side frame (20) are higher than those (13Y,14Y) of the other. The shaped strips act as feet keeping the base frame high enough off the ground for the forks of a fork lift truck to be inserted under it. The side frames can be linked to each other at the top by a chain (40) of variable length.
