Woven fabric tapes made with Jacquard technology

Woven tapes (1) have woven edges or a crocheted edge (11) and a woven edge (12). The tape, produced using Jacquard technology, is transversely elastic across the width (15) either completely or in subsections. At least one of the wefts comprises an elastomer across the whole of the pattern repeat length. As a result, the tape features transverse elasticity that continues across the width (15). The float stitches of the inserted non-elastomer wefts are bulked. A characteristic prod. look is created and the Jacquard motif is compressed by the extent of the elasticity factor in the weft direction.
