<p>The invention relates to a blow molding die, die members and a method of manufacturing same, said blow molding die comprising a layer formed of a metal of high hardness which is metallurgically joined to a base material of a high thermal conductive metal and provided at a peripheral portion of a cavity formed in the base material. The blow molding die or die members according to the invention can increase a cooling rate of a molding to shorten a molding cycle. Since a metal of high hardness is joined to a surface of the blow molding die, it is possible to improve durability of pinch-off portions. Furthermore, since a metal of high hardness is metallurgically joined to the entire surface of the blow molding die, machining required by, for example, inserts is dispensed with. Accordingly, it is possible to shorten a delivery period of molding dies and to reduce a working cost. Also, bolt tightening required by inserts is made unnecessary, a water cooling channel is provided as close as possible to a surface of a mold cavity and a surface of a parting line to maintain a high cooling efficiency.</p> |
