The tea bag comprises a cardboard or plastics disk (1) having an open slit (2) and a handle tab (3) and is used to cover the tea pot or cup. The tea bag is hung by its cord through the slit and is afterwards removed by the tab ensuring the bag and its holder cannot slip into the boiling water.
