Compressed-gas-insulated tubular type bus=bar with HV conductor

A compressed gas-insulated tubular busbar has a support system for a high voltage conductor (2) inside a tubular casing (1), the supports being a series of insulating disks (6, 7). Between every two insulating disks is another support comprising suspension insulators (8, 9) fastened between the conductor and the wall of the casing. They are V-shaped, with the conductor at the apex, and the legs on the casing. The legs are fastened at openings in the casing and can be adjusted in position by the attachment bolts. The gas used is a nitrogen-sulphur hexafluoride mixture. Near the insulating disks, the casing is double-walled.
