Test of lambda control circuit in a controlled exhaust gas catalyst

To test the lambda control circuit, at controlled exhaust gas catalysts, the lambda probe is shifted directly from a normal value of 1 by the application of a disturbing value. The functioning capability is checked through the corrective control on the lambda circuit. Also claimed is a test appts. with an exhaust gas meter (3), exhaust gas probe (4) and a connecting tube (2). The connecting tube (2) links different gas and lambda probes (1) in a release mounting to the exhaust pipe (5) or a gas supply with an oxygen content from the ambient air. The exhaust gas meter (3) with the probe (4) is connected to the rotary speed counter (7) and oil temp. sensor (8) of the motor (6) being checked.
