A device is for washing and spinning textiles in washing machines and has a horizontally mounted wash drum (1). The drum (1) is unperforated and features entraining ribs (5) with hollow spaces distributed on its periphery. A hollow shaft is located outside of the drum (1), on the side, and the drum incorporates a spiral duct. The duct joins exit openings on the drum (1) to the hollow shaft.
