PURPOSE:To obtain an auxotrophic cell strain free from artificial mutant genotype by regenerating a protoplast of a yeast of genus Torulaspora in the presence of dimethyl sulfoxide and/or a small amount of magnesium. CONSTITUTION:A regeneration medium for the protoplast of a yeast of genus Torulaspora is added with dimethyl sulfoxide and/or <=0.5mM of magnesium. The subject cell strain can be prepared while stably maintaining the polyploidy and keeping the freeze resistance of the original strain. |
