Claimed is a process for manufacturing waterproof, water vapour permeable, three-dimensional articles, such as shoes and gloves, of copolyetherester, in which process a three-dimensional mould is treated once or several times with an aqueous dispersion of a copolyetherester in a manner analogous to that employed for a latex dispersion in the rubber industry, followed by heating to obtain a continuous film, after which the moulded article is removed from the mould after cooling, use being made of a dispersion which can be obtained by diluting a solution of the copolyetherester in N-methyl pyrrolidone with a preferably at least partially water miscible anti-solvent, optionally followed by wholly or partially replacing the liquid phase with water, dilution with water, and the removal of the solvent employed if so desired. The articles are suited to be used as such or as inserts in laminates in the form of garments, such as gloves. |
