PURPOSE:To prevent an image from moving and a double image from being formed by cutting off the rays of light which cause deterioration in picture quality because aberrations can not be compensated. CONSTITUTION:The rays of light from a CRT 2 are converted into a parallel light beam group by a holographic combiner 8 and some of the rays of light are projected from the combiner 8 while deteriorating in parallelism greatly. A mask 14 provided on a correcting lens system 4 has a shape and size for cutting off the rays of light inferior in parallelism and is installed at a specific position. Only the rays of light which are passed through the mask 14 of the correcting lens system 4 among light beams from an image on the CRT 2 are made incident on the combiner 8 and the rays of light projected from the combiner 8, therefore, form only a group of parallel rays of light from the image on the CRT 2 shown by B and a group of parallel rays of light made incident from an external image shown by C. Consequently, the movement of the image due to the movement of eyes is reduced and a double image is removed. |
