<p>A replaceable cutting insert (1) for use in a peripheral rotary milling cutter and being formed with at least one cutting edge (2,3) defined between a cutting rake surface (4,5) and a relief flank surface (6) of the insert (1). The relief flank surface (6) comprises a first portion (25 a) defined between the cutting edge (2) and an intermediate portion (25 c) of the relief flank surface (6) and a second portion (25 b) defined between the intermediate portion (25 c) and a base (24) of the insert (1).
