PURPOSE:To form easily and securely hair lines of given dimension by bringing a tire tread in surface in press contact with scratching particles of grain size of specified value, and generating relative displacement at specified speed in the tread peripheral direction between a tire and the sractching particles. CONSTITUTION:One end of an airm 2 is rocked upward by a cylinder 8, and a tire 9 is fitted on a tire fitting section 3, then the arm 2 is lowered, the tire 9 is pressed to an abrasive material 14 comosed of scratching particles of grain size 20-320 fixed on a sheet or a cloth by the required force. Under the above pressed state, a tread surface 17 of the tire 9 is brought into contact with the abrasive material 14 all over its width. Then, a motor 4 i revolved by the given speed to revolve the tire 9 at the peripheral speed of 0.1-200m/min. Through a belt 5, and the tread surface 17 of the tire 9 is relatively displaced in the tread peripheral direction to the flawed particles. A number of fine hair lines extending in the tread peripheral diection are formed substantially all over the full tread width on the whole periphery of the tread surface 17 by the device. |
