PURPOSE:To enable a sucking and discharging device to stably hold a chip irrespective of the ambient temperature and to highly reliably take in and dispense samples. CONSTITUTION:A sucking and discharging device which takes in and distributes samples by using an exchangeable chip is provided with a chip supplying section 8 which successively supplies unused chips 1 to a chip loading position A and heats the chips 1 and a probe 3 which holds the heated chips 1 when the probe 3 is put in openings at the upper ends of the chips 1 and, at the same time, is communicated with the openings of the chips 1. Chips 1 are faced to sample containers 11 by driving the probe 3 holding the chips 1 and samples are taken in the chips 1 by facing the chips 1 to sample containers 11. The taken-in samples are distributed in reaction wells 10a and, at the same time, used chips 1 are removed by engaging the chips 1 with a slit 29 provided in a jig 28 and discarded into a discarding hole 27. |
