PURPOSE:To retain a propulsion unit in specified down rotation posture and absorb the vibration going to be transmitted from the propulsion unit to a hull with simple constitution. CONSTITUTION:This retainer is provided with a hydraulic trim cylinder 24 for rotating a propulsion unit. By the operation of the trim cylinder 24 at the time of supplying pressure oil to a lower pressure oil chamber 37 inside the trim cylinder 24, the propulsion unit in downward rotation posture is rotated upward while by the operation of the trim cylinder 24 at the time of discharging pressure oil from the lower pressure oil chamber 37 through an oil passage 39, the propulsion unit is rotated downward. A valve stem 47 which opens and closes the oil passage 39 is provided. When the propulsion unit rotates downward to its specified posture accompanying the operation of the trim cylinder 24, the valve stem 47 closes the oil passage 39 by interlocking with the operation of the trim cylinder 24. |
