<p>PURPOSE:To measure speed always with high accuracy by making use of the Doppler phenomenon without depending on the continuously changed angle of reflected waves obtained from the side face of a moving object. CONSTITUTION:The Doppler-type speed measuring apparatus is constituted of two microwave transmitter-receivers P1, P2 which are installed at a definite interval in parallel to each other on the side of the advance direction of a moving object TR, and a processing part 10 which decides the speed of the moving body on the basis of the frequency of reflected wave corresponding to a point of time when a change in the frequency of the reflected waves, of the moving body as the measuring object, which are output by both transmitter- receivers becomes a prescribed relationship. At need, a transponder T which is attached in advance to the moving body as the measuring object and which transmits microwaves of the same frequency so as to correspond to received microwaves is used jointly.</p> |
