PURPOSE: To provide a friction cone type transmission with the simple structure capable of transmitting a large torque. CONSTITUTION: A transmitting member 10 has a hard cylindrical cage body 7 for housing friction cones 3, 4, 5, 6. The case body 7 has a friction ring 8 or 9 connected to the friction cones 3, 5 or 4, 6 connected in series to each other. Divided side surfaces 11, 12 respectively form opening anglesβ1 ,β2 between an axis of the cage body 7, and these opening angle are formed in response to the opening anglesβ1 ',β2 ' formed by the friction cones 3, 4 or 5, 6 and a rotary shaft thereof. The transmitting member 10 is connected to position adjusting devices 13, 14 working in the axial direction. At least one of shafts 1, 2 is provided with a torque dependent pushing device 15 for forcibly working in the axial direction. |
