PURPOSE:To obtain a lubricating oil composition excellent in wear resistance and a reduced phosphorus content. CONSTITUTION:This composition comprises a lubricating oil base and a complex obtained by reacting a metal dithiophosphate represented by the formula (wherein M is zinc, copper, nickel, iron, cadmium, silver, lead, antimony, tin, or bismuth and R<1>, R<2>, R<3>, and R<4> each independently is a 1-13C lipophilic group, provided that the average number of carbon atoms per lipophilic group is 4-13) with a primary amine compound having a 1-8C lipophilic group. |
