<p>PURPOSE:To feed paper stably with inexpensive constitution. CONSTITUTION:A paper feeding device is provided with an arm operating lever 60 separable from roller shaft supporting arms 44 for supporting a pickup roller shaft 42 and energized in the direction of pressing the roller shaft supporting arms 44 by a torsion spring 72, and a spring clutch 70 for moving the arm operating lever 60 in the direction of being separated from the roller shaft supporting arms 44 against the energizing force of the spring 72 in association with the rotation of a driving shaft 46. At the non-rotating time of the driving shaft 46, the roller shaft supporting arms 44 are lifted by the energizing force of the torsion spring 72 so as to put in the paper feeding stand-by state. At the rotating time of the driving shaft 46, the arm operating lever 60 is separated from the roller shaft supporting arms 44 by the action of the spring clutch 70. The roller shaft supporting arms 44 thereby descend by its own weight so as to bring a pickup roller 40 into contact with a sheet P.</p> |
