PURPOSE:To produce a positional shift preventing floor mat having a projection group consisting of projections each having a plane region having a predetermined shape provided to the tip part thereof provided to the rear surface thereof. CONSTITUTION:In an apparatus for producing a projection carrying mat 1 by passing a molding material through the gap between a press roll 6 and a molding roll 71, the molding roll contains a hollow drum 73 having molding through-holes 72, an air venting means 74 and a molding material sealing means 74 and each of the through- holes 72 has a molding material insertion part 81 corresponding to the shapes of the skirt part, side surface and tip plan region of each of projections, a wall surface part 82 and an air venting part 83 and the air venting parts of the through-holes communicate with the air venting means until the molding material is perfectly inserted in the through-holes and, when the molding material is completely inserted, the air venting parts are sealed by the sealing means. After air in the through-holes is discharged accompanied by the insertion of the molding material into the through-holes to perfectly insert the molding material in the through-holes, the air venting parts are sealed by the sealing means and a cooled resin is discharged out of the through- holes.
