Device for implanting a marking in an animal, characterized by a tube with an inlet opening and an outlet opening, a support member for receiving the tube and a plunger member which is positioned so that it can slide between a first position and a second position, in order to act on the marking in the vicinity of the inlet opening of the tube, so as to expel the marking through the outlet opening; the support member comprises a housing in which there is a chamber which is suitable for receiving the tube, and the housing also comprises a storage member for storing the tube therein, the chamber comprising an opening in order for it to be possible to dispense any tube which is stored in the housing through this opening. <IMAGE>
