PURPOSE: To prevent unfavorable action of a so-called flogging effect in the case of cross-folding signatures and action relating thereto, in particular incontrollable twisting or flapping in the end part of the second cylinder or a latter half of the signatures when the signatures are transferred from the first cylinder to a folding flap cylinder. CONSTITUTION: One edge 48 of a latter half portion 47 of incompletely folded signatures 42 is gripped by a controllable hold-fixing device 23, and hold-fixing is conducted as far as both ends 43, 48 of the incompletely folded signatures 42 within a folding flap system are overlapped vertically. |
