<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an agent for the treatment of organic waste capable of composting an organic waste such as garbage even at a low temperature. CONSTITUTION:A mold C90R-2 which is an aerobic mold belonging to the species pannorm, genus Geomyces is selectively cultured from soil fungi on a potato dextrose medium. The obtained mold C90R-2 is cultured in solid state and finely crushed to obtain a powdery agent for the treatment of organic waste. Since the mold C90R-2 is capable of decomposing starch, cellulose, etc., and has psychrophilic nature, it can decompose an organic waste such as garbage to compost even at a low temperature, e.g. <=15 deg.C.</p> |
