CONTROL METHOD FOR ELEVATOR GROUP

PURPOSE: To select the best elevator to serve a landing call by utilizing a weighted call time in calculation of the serving time of a call. CONSTITUTION: Landing calls 10 input via call buttons in various floors are transmitted to a group controller 4 or an elevator controller 2 concerned in the call buttons. Short range and long term statistics as to actual traffics are accumulated in a traffic statistical device 6 to be utilized in the group controller 4. An elevator monitoring and regulating device 8 is connected to the controller 4 to transmit weighted signals to the group controller 4. The landing calls generated in the various floors are weighted by a floor-specific weight factor, and the weighted call time is utilized in calculation of a call serving time to select the best elevator to serve the landing call.
