PURPOSE:To facilitate the setting work of position data by keeping measuring accuracy and to decreasing the number of windows for setting position data beforehand. CONSTITUTION:An end point (a), which agrees with the maximum part of a light cutting image S in the direction of the axis X is used as the reference, and a reference point M, which becomes the central point of image centers of gravity G2 and G3 of two windows W2 and W3, which are set with the end point (a) as the reference, is obtained. Of a plurality of windows W4-Wf for computing image lines L1 and L2 for a one-side part S1 and another-side part S2 of the light cutting image S, only two windows W4 and W6 are set based on the predetermined position data with the reference point M as the reference. The remaining windows W5 and W7 are set at the position having the specified correlation with respect to the positions of both the respective windows W4 and W6 and the end point (a). |
