PURPOSE: To manufacture decorated articles of superior smoothness, quality and resolution of a print decoration by containing fine particles comprising ceramic pigments and a binding medium resin in a ceramic dye composition and utilizing an electrophotographic reproduction process in which the composition is applied onto a transfer means. CONSTITUTION: A ceramic dye composition is applied onto a transfer means, and the transfer means is utilized for a ceramic article or the like, and then the ceramic dye composition is combined with the ceramic article or the like by baking. In that case, fine particles comprising ceramic pigments and a binding medium resin is contained in the ceramic dye composition. The combined ceramic dye composition is applied onto a transfer means by utilizing the electrophotographic reproduction process. For example, the drawing of an image is recorded by a scanner 1, and a corresponding data is transferred from the scanner 1 to a personal computer 2, and a designed image data is transferred to a color laser printer 4 through an image recording device 3. On the other hand, the fine particles are composed of pigment cores 5, binding medium resin casings 6 and an electrical charge control agent 7.
