PURPOSE: To provide a method for forming a model of a prosthetic joint to produce a prosthetic joint for recovering normal actions of a joint, and to provide an artificial joint produced by the method. CONSTITUTION: This method for modeling a prosthetic joint for producing a prosthetic joint includes such processes as of determining the position of a first rotating axis 10, determining the position of a second rotating axis 20, which is previously determined not to be at right angles and not to cross each other with the first rotating axis 10, forming a first plane, which is a rotating plane for both of the first and the second axes on a first member, and forming a second plane whose size is determined so that it can be fit in and engaged with the first plane on a second member.
