PURPOSE: To provide an inexpensive and reliable optical fiber probe by preventing the entry of reflected light from the end face of the probe into the light receiving side without the need to use matching liquid between an optical fiber cable and a transparent window block and still incline the outer face of a transparent window or make the window into two pieces. CONSTITUTION: Optical fibers are separated into the first fiber set 13 which has the end at the first part of the end of an optical fiber cable 12 and the second fiber set 17 which has the end at the second part of the end thereof. A transparent window block 37 has an inner face, which contains the first face 41 approximately perpendicular to the end of the first fiber set 13 and the second face 39 opposed to the end of the second fiber set 17 at a preset angle thereto, and an outer face 38, which is located on the opposite side to propagate light propagated from one of both fiber sets 13, 17 and transmitted through the transparent window block 37 to a preset direction. |
