PURPOSE:To make the pickup lengths of the left and the right differential output shafts the same, and to use the same parts at the left side and the right side, by making the rotating shaft center of a differential gear engaged between the left and the right output gears in a differential mechanism for running, coinside to the lateral center of a car body. CONSTITUTION:In a differential mechanism 3, a pair of output gears 3b, a differential gear 3c journalled rotatable to a pin shaft 3j, and a differential limiting mechanism 11 are provided in a differential case 3k having a large diameter of input bevel gear 3a. And the pin shaft 3j is arranged relatively to make its shaft center P coincide to the lateral center of the body, and the shaft center X of the rear wheel differential input shaft 2 is arranged biased a little to the right side from the lateral center B of the body. As a result, the left and the right differential output shafts 3d spline-engaged to the left and the right output gears 3b respectively are made in the form of the same length, and they can be composed with the same parts.
