PURPOSE:To stabilize a room temperature at a set temperature irrespective of the number of operating rooms by setting a no-change area in response to the number of the rooms. CONSTITUTION:A calculator 45 receives an ON request signal (operation request signal) to detect the number of actually operating rooms, and sets a no-change area in response to the detected number. That is, an optimum non-change area of one room is etc., and the number of the operating rooms is calculated. For example, when a difference between a room temperature of one room and a set temperature is held within 1 deg.C, when the no-change area is set to 0.5<SIGMADELTAT<1.0 deg. in one room, the no-change area is set to 1.0 < CAT < 2.0'C in two rooms, or to 1.5<SIGMADELTAT<3.0 deg.C in three rooms. In this case, DELTAT is a signal corresponding to a difference between indoor temperature of indoor units A-N to be detected by a room temperature detector 34 and a set temperature set by a temperature setter 32, and SIGMADELTAT is total value of the DELTAT value. Thus, the no-change area is set in response to the number of the rooms, thereby stabilizing the room temperature near the set temperature irrespective of the number of the operating rooms.
