DUPLEX SWASH PLATE TYPE COMPRESSOR

PURPOSE:To sharply reduce the generation of unstable vibration of a swash plate and to prevent the occurrence of a noise trouble which is apt to occur especially in a high speed rotation area by a method wherein a cushioning function to absorb an axial load is provided for only one of two thrust bearings between which the swash plate is nipped. CONSTITUTION:A swash plate 5 is mounted on a drive shaft 1 supported in the common central axis hole of front and rear cylinder blocks 2 and 3 through radial bearings 4a and 4b. The swash 5 is rotatably supported between blocks 2 and 3 by means of thrust bearings 6A and 6B having inner and outer laces 6a and 6b and disposed in the front and the rear of the swash plate. In this case, a cushioning function to absorb an axial load is provided for one, for example, the front thrust bearing 6A. Namely, the front boss of the swash plate 5 is formed at a large annular pressure receiving seat 5a and an inner lace 6a is brought into butt contact therewith. A comparatively small pressure receiving seat 2a is formed at the support part of the front cylinder block 2 and an outer lace 6b has a bore the vicinity of which is brought into slide contact therewith.
