<p>PURPOSE:To provide a thermal head capable of achieving the simplification and miniaturization of a drive circuit driving a heating element and the shortening of a printing time. CONSTITUTION:A drive circuit 20 has a transfer memory circuit consisting of data transfer flip-flops FF1-FF32, data memory flip-flops ff1-ff64, switches SW1a-SW1d..., SW32a-SW32d opening and closing the respective filp-flops and is equipped with switching elements T1-T64 and AND gates G1-G64. Further, an AND gate Ga outputting the AND of a clock signal CLK and a selection signal SEL, an AND gate Gb outputting the AND of a reversal clock signal/CLK and the selection signal SEL, an AND gate Gc outputting the AND of the clock signal CLK and a reversal selection signal/SEL and an AND gate Gd outputting the AND of the reversal clock signal/CLK and the reversal selection signal/SEL are provided.</p> |
