PURPOSE:To measure a work in high accuracy even if a reflected image appears on a screen by setting a plurality of windows in the specified position relationship at both-side parts of the direction of the axis Y of a light cutting image, and measuring the center of gravity of the image in each window. CONSTITUTION:Tip points a1-a3 of a light cutting image S and a reflected image R having the areas wider than a specified area among the independent images on a screen in the direction of the axis X are detected. The tip point a1 is made to be the most protruding tip point (a). Long windows W1 and W2 are set in the direction of the axis Y at positions, which are returned into the direction of the axis X by the specified length. Respective centers of gravity of images G1 and G2 are measured. The points having the correlation with the centers of gravity are made to be a reference point M. Windows W3-W6 for setting image lines L1 and L2 are set at upper and lower parts S1 and S2 of the image S, respectively. The centers of gravity of images G3-G5 are measured. Of the images having the areas wider than the specified area in the windows W3-W6, the image, whose center of gravity is located at the most prutruding point (a), becomes the image S. Therefore, even if the image R appears, the equations of both image lines L1 and L2 of the image S can be accurately computed. A work can be measured in high accuracy with an intersection Q of both lines L1 and L2 as the reference. |
